HELP US IN OUR FIGHT FOR NYC NIGHTLIFE!
A new liquor/cabaret license has not been issued to a Gay nightlife venue in the past 5 years! |
With your help and support, we hope to announce the reopening of xl lounge as a gay dance bar and performance space in Hell's Kitchen on West 42nd Street between 10th and 11th Avenues.
We cant thank you enough for your tremendous support at the February 9th meeting with CB4's Business Licenses & Permits Committee and on March 3rd at the Community Board Meeting. Your support goes far beyond what we expected and is the very essence of why we keep moving forward.
Circumstances beyond our control forced us to postpone the Full Board vote on March 3, 2010 minutes before the meeting started. Please accept our apologies for not being able to contact those who attended in advance. We are truly sorry. But your presence was noted by the board and we can't thank you enough for that. We can assure you it was not our first choice but sometimes you have to take one step back in order to go forward and finish successfully.
As a result, we will be returning to the Full Board Meeting for their FINAL VOTE on.

Community Board #4 - FINAL VOTE
Roosevelt Hospital
428 W 59th St
We must continue to demonstrate strong support and enthusiasm for reopening xl dance bar!
The unanimous vote taken by the Business Licenses & Permits Committe iin favor of our application still stands!
We want to personally assure you that we are as committed as ever to reopening xl dance bar. Fortunately, this delay will be no longer than 30-days. This has not and will not stop our construction at the site so our opening date has not changed.
During this time, we will make sure our application will be pristine and reassure our neighbors, Community Board members and local elected officials that xl operations will only enhance the Hells Kitchen community.
Your unequivocal enthusiasm has been crucial in obtaining the necessary approvals for xl dance bar, thus far. With your continued support, we look forward to opening xl dance bar later this year. We remain eternally grateful for your help.
Yours truly,
John Blair, Beto Sutter
and the entire staff of JB Promotions
